Every disclaimer we show, in one place.
Versioned, dated, auditable. If you want to know exactly what we tell users about our limits, you're on the right page.
The principles
We follow four rules when we write a disclaimer:
- One source of truth. Every disclaimer string lives in a single config file. The product never inlines a disclaimer; it always reads from this file. So if you see a disclaimer in our app, you can find the exact same wording below.
- Show it where it’s relevant. The AI disclaimer shows on AI-output screens. The price-estimate disclaimer shows on screens with prices. The recording disclaimer shows before recording starts. We don’t bury disclaimers in footers and pretend that’s enough.
- Plain English. No legalese. If a sentence needs translation to be understood, it doesn’t protect anyone.
- Versioned. Every disclaimer ships with a version stamp. When we update one, the version bumps. If you ever need to know what wording you saw on a particular day, we can tell you.
The current version is 2026.04.01.
Every disclaimer we show
These are the full texts. Where you see them in the product, they appear word-for-word as below.
AI-generated content
key: aiOutputThis is an AI-generated starting point, not professional advice. We are not a lawyer, financial advisor, broker, or agent. Review before using.
Where shown: On every screen that displays AI-generated content: briefs, scripts, practice mode, follow-up chat, outcome classifier output.
We don’t negotiate for you
key: notOnBehalfOfYou negotiate. We coach. We don't contact landlords, employers, or companies for you.
Where shown: On the home page, the brief reader, the pricing page, and anywhere we describe what the service does.
Price estimates
key: priceEstimatePrices are estimates from public sources and may be out of date. Verify before relying on them for a decision.
Where shown: Anywhere we display a market price, comp, or projected savings amount.
Voice recording
key: voiceRecordingAudio is recorded only between you and the AI coach. We do not record or coach calls with a real counterparty.
Where shown: On the practice/roleplay screen, before any audio is recorded by the AI coach.
One-time per-brief pricing
key: oneTimePurchaseOne-time charge. No subscription. Refundable within 24 hours if the brief wasn’t useful.
Where shown: On the pricing page and the paywall shown when unlocking a brief.
Subscription terms (if offered)
key: subscriptionTermsAuto-renews monthly until canceled. Cancel anytime in Settings → Payments. No refunds for partial months.
Where shown: Reserved for any future subscription product. Not currently in use.
Aggregated stats
key: kAnonymityWe only show counts once at least 50 people have signaled. Individual preferences are never visible.
Where shown: On the Track Record page, the home Outcomes block, and any other surface that displays aggregated demand or group-deal numbers.
How we describe ourselves
Words matter. The DoNotPay enforcement action turned in part on the company describing its product as “the world’s first robot lawyer.” We don’t describe our product that way, and we don’t use words like “lawyer,” “attorney,” “advisor,” “broker,” or “agent” in first-person about ourselves. The labels below are the canonical alternatives we use throughout the product.
Version history
The current version is 2026.04.01. When we update a disclaimer, we bump this version and email every active account at least 30 days before the change takes effect (for material changes). The full version history is available on request; email legal@renegotiateanything.com.
